There was a time not so long ago when you could take a man at his word, shake on a deal, and know things would turn out the way you wanted them to the first time, every time.

Times have changed. Buyers are more wary, more conscious of the choices they are making (as they should be!) I include myself in that category as well. I want to get a good product for the amount I'm investing in it. I shop around before making a choice. You should too!

Always always ask to see samples before agreeing to work with any freelancer. Jumping into an agreement without seeing any samples in advance is like buying a car sight-unseen. It might be the best investment you've ever made, or it might be a lemon.
